Back Dzeko Chance To Grab A Goal Against Sunderland With A January 2012

Dzeko has not started since 3rd December but could give Mancini a reminder of his talent with a goal against Sunderland
With no injury or suspension issues to worry about, Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has a full complement of players to choose from ahead of his side’s trip to Sunderland.
And given the calibre of the players at his disposal, the Italian is likely to have few qualms about rotating his starting XI to ensure his charges remain in peak condition.
This could mean Edin Dzeko starts a league game for City for the first time since the Citizens’ 5-1 win over Norwich on 3rd December.
The Bosnian has been a huge hit at Eastlands this season, with 13 goals scored in 22 appearances.
And while he has not scored since 5th November, Dzeko has only started four games since then, meaning he still looks a good bet to score at any time at odds of 7/5.
Indeed, given the fact he has scored first in half of the games he has hit the back of the net for City this season, it could be worth having a punt on Dzeko to break the deadlock at the Stadium of Light at odds of 5/1.
A successful £25 free bet on Dzeko to score first is set to return £150, with the free bet available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account.
One other City player to consider is Adam Johnson.
Like Dzeko, the winger is due a start having warmed the bench in City’s last game against West Brom.
Johnson has been extremely effective when playing from the first whistle in recent months having scored four goals in his last six starts.
He therefore looks extremely good value to score at any time at odds of 5/2 on Sunday.
There are fewer obvious candidates when it comes to potential Sunderland goalscorers, with the Black Cats having scored less than half of the league leaders’ goals total.
Nicklas Bendtner is as good a shout as any having found the back of the net just before Christmas against QPR.
The Dane also has a history of scoring against City, having popped up with a late goal as a substitute for Arsenal when the Gunners beat the Citizens 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium last season.
