The coaches at UCLA have been running youth camps in one form or another for the past 50 years. It was only in 1993 when the athletic department decided to consolidate all of its efforts into running the best youth camp athletic programs there are. It was then that we decided to bring all UCLA camps back on campus, to take advantage of all the beautiful new facilities in Westwood, that are constantly being upgraded. Each coach is in control of his/her own camp, run through the UCLA Sports Camps Office, bringing their very own brand of coaching and teaching to youths in the local community, and those that travel from all over the world to experience life as a Bruin!

There are two basic types of camp formats that we offer - day camps, and overnight camps. Day camps take place generally Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm; and some even offer after-care programs that include extended instruction, for those parents seeking a longer day. Overnight camps are generally for older campers that are looking for a more intense camp experience that includes sleeping in the dorms, eating in the award-winning dining halls, and seeing what it's like to experience life as a Bruin.

Each coach uses a combination of current and former athletes, as well as local high school, junior college and university coaches as counselors for all sessions of camp. Some camps also feature guest speakers from the within UCLA community. Some day camps will utilize campus pools to cool off.

Camps are open to any and all registrants, within certain age limitations. Please check each camp page for more specific information.
