Malaysia 29 April 2012 : PAS urged the police to carry out investigations against individuals who cut the wire obstacle at Bersih 3.0 assembly yesterday. Vice President of PAS, Mohamad Sabu, said these people who say that the person looks professional while cutting barbed wire that placed around the square. “Individuals involved is seen as professional as he can cut the barbed wire quickly, which ultimately provides an opportunity for police to ‘terrorize’ after that,” he said at a press

In the meantime , Chairman of the Legal Lajnah Centre PAS, Asmuni Awi also expressed regret with the violent actions of the police against a collection of participants Bersih 3.0. He who came down with nearly 70 lawyers to monitor the collection also questioned the police action ‘hunting’ the public. “The prohibition is issued to entering the square. Meanwhile, police also made available several video clips which showed some of the demonstrators behaving wildly and parents bringing their little children to the assembly, which is an offence under the Peaceful Assemblies Act 2011. Separately, AFP reported that the otherwise peaceful rally yesterday was disrupted when hundreds of protesters angry at being denied access to the square trampled razor wire and pushed aside barricades to pour in, where they were met with teargas and chemical-laced water. As white teargas smoke filled the air and drifted down nearby streets, riot police quickly forced back the protesters who had entered the square and regained control.''
Dozens of people rounded up by police were seen being held inside a police truck.
Nearby, protesters retaliated by throwing empty water bottles at police. A police spokesman confirmed that there were arrests but gave no figures. He defended the police response.''
